So far I’ve had the pleasure of doing both the “Hagar” and “Legion” studies. Shadia shares her own very personal story along the way, and shows how much she relies on God for her every step. I was amazed by the story of the demon-possessed man and how Jesus went out of his way to minister to him. It’s such a short story in the Bible yet Shadia is able to really unpack how this story fits in and impacts so many. In terms of the depth of the Bible study it is similar to Beth Moore studies (ie we chose to divide study “weeks” in half in order to fully explore the material!). As a group leader, I appreciated that Shadia had different levels available within the study, so ladies could go deeper in certain areas if they chose to. Well done and looking forward to the next one!

Illuminating! I feel like so much light was shed on understanding Jesus going after one man – so deliberately, so intentional, despite a torrential storm, demonic interference. He was willing to go to great lengths for one tormented soul. Like leaving the 99 sheep for the one. The term rescue mission fits so well, after learning that the WHOLE Town wanted Jesus gone from their region. Jesus/God craving a very personal relationship with us has been the illuminated for me.
